June 6 1987, 5:06 p.m.

When I came back to the hut I am staying in a couple of hours ago, I was still thinking about what Dominick had said about the different levels of leprosy. I wanted to learn more before tomorrow, when I would be meeting patients with different levels of leprosy. After looking through a lot of different books, I found out some really interesting information! From what Dominick had told me, I thought leprosy only had two forms, but it turns out there are six. Here is a list of those six forms in order of the least serious to the most serious:

  • PB indeterminate
  • PB tuberculoid
  • PB borderline tuberculoid
  • MB midborderline
  • MB borderline lepromatous
  • MB lepromatous

As you can see, there is the PB and MB leprosy that Dominick told me about, and then there are three levels inside of those.
